Greetings:

Greeting students. Students discuss learning objectives. Teacher focuses students on the main goal of the lesson.

Warming up: (W, I)

Students brainstorm all types of activities during holidays. Teacher gives the instructions and demonstrates presentation with the phrases about holiday activities. Student should classify them into three groups: holidays by sea, holidays in the mountains, touring in a city.

Students write the phrases in their copybooks. Open class feedback.

Pre-teaching vocabulary: (I)

Teacher gives clear instructions and hands out the papers.

Students should match the words with the pictures and write down translation for these words.

Most able students will have the task without any support.

Less able students will have a minimal support as written the first letters of the words.

Teacher is monitoring while students are doing the task.

Peer checking. Less able and most able students might work in pairs so they will help each other.

Teacher should drill the pronunciation of the words with the class.

Pre-listening: (P, W)

Teacher demonstrates the pictures through them students should predict what the dialogue is. Students share their ideas in pairs.

Then class discussion.

While-listening: (I)

Teacher gives the instructions, explains success criteria and hands out the papers.

Students should listen to the dialogue of two speakers who are discussing their future holiday. Students will have to identify if the given sentences are correct (True) or incorrect (False). Students will listen to the recording twice.

Teacher shows the answers on the presentation according to them students might check themselves. After self-assessment, open class feedback. Teacher explains common mistakes.

After-listening: discussion. (P)

Students should work in pairs and discuss the questions which are on the board (in presentation):

1. Do you like travelling?

2. Where do you usually stay when you travel? (in hotel, campsite, cottage, apartment)

3. Where do you want to go on your next summer holiday?

In the end, students should change their partners and say an interesting piece of information, which they have known about his/her partner.
