Trends in
Information Systems (Forecast for 2025)
Information systems (IS) are constantly evolving and being
enhanced with new technologies. By 2025, several major trends in IS
will come to the forefront. This article provides an overview of
these trends and explores their impact on businesses and
society.
•
All the
trends mentioned above are being implemented at Almaty
Technological University. The university is equipped with
specialized technologies and has highly qualified instructors to
support these advancements.We are currently studying Algorithms,
Data Structures, and Programming. We have hopes and goals to
achieve even greater success in the future.
1.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)
Integration
Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) have
become an integral part of modern information systems. By
2025:
•
AI-driven
automated decision-making systems will increase;
•
Cognitive
computing systems will improve data processing and
decision-making;
•
AI will
strengthen cybersecurity.
2. Big
Data and Data Management
Many
organizations are facing the need to process large volumes of data.
It is expected that by 2025:
•
Cloud
solutions will be actively used to enhance data processing
speed;
•
DataOps
(Data Operations) methods will be introduced;
•
Data
protection and regulatory frameworks will become more
stringent.
3.
Cybersecurity and Zero Trust Architecture
With the
growing number of cyberattacks, organizations are improving their
security systems. By 2025:
•
Zero
Trust security models will become widespread;
•
AI-powered threat detection and prevention systems will be
used;
•
Biometric
authentication and blockchain-based security measures will be
enhanced.
4. Cloud
Computing and Edge Computing
Cloud
technology is growing, and many companies are moving away from
traditional servers. By 2025:
•
Multi-cloud and hybrid cloud systems will become more
popular;
•
Edge
Computing (local computing devices) will be widely adopted in IoT
devices;
•
Cloud
Native technologies will lead to faster and more flexible
applications.
5.
Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative
AI)
Generative AI technologies like ChatGPT and DALL-E are
offering new opportunities in business. By 2025:
•
AI will
be used for content creation (text, images, music,
video);
•
IT
systems will increasingly automate coding and programming
processes;
•
AI's role
in customer service and business analytics will
grow.
Conclusion
The
trends in information systems highlight the rapid advancement of
technology. AI, Big Data, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies
