Beginning the lesson

Greeting: -Good morning, learners!

-How are you today?

Tt asks learners to make a circle and say good words to each-other:

L1: You are very active! Thank you!

L2: You are optimistic! Thank you!

L3: You are very kind! Thank you!

L4: You are beautiful! Thank you!

Then learners say «We are happy children!» and show their mood.

Tt divides learners into two groups using weather puzzles:

Middle

Memory game: «Magic box» learners open the box take cards with tasks:

Name the geographical features:Forest,lake,river,waterfall,volcano,dessert,coast,mountain,steppe.

Months: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September ,October ,November, December.

Seasons:Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn.

Adjectives describing weather: Cold, warm, rainy, cloudy, sunny,foggy snowy,windy.

The members of the group evaluate each-other with smiles.

Tt shows video and asks learners simple questions about seasons and weather:

1.How many seasons are in a year?

2. What are they?

3.What is the weather like in winter?

4.What is your favourite season?

TPR: Learners are you tired? Its time to relax.Stand up please and take off your glasses.Listen to the song and do the actions together.

Differentiation by task: individual work.Tt gives worksheets to learners

Less able students: match the pictures with the words

More able students: Put the words in right order and make up sentences.

Self Assessment:learners evaluate each –other with cards:Tt gives cards with words: excellent-if they haven’t mistakes, good-if they have 1-2 mistakes,try again-more than 3 mistakes.

Reflection

To complete a dialogue and consolidate vocabulary from the module

Explain the task and allow Ss some time to complete the dialogue. Ask Ss to answer in full sentences.

Check Ss’ answer by asking several Ss to read out the completed dialogue.
