The theme of the lesson «Where is it?»

The aims of the lesson:

1. To learn the new question «Where is it»

2. To learn using of the prepositions on …in….. under.

3. To work with all of the letters “ the ABC”

4. Further work with previous material

Objectives:

developing– to develop speaking, listening and reading skills.

educational - to learn new prepositions, new grammar – the new question, and numbers.

Techniques:  the computer, pictures, cards, the pupil’s book for grade 1 “Pupil’s book” by Jenny Dooley and

Virginia Evans(Express Publishing United Kingdom)

The procedure of the lesson.

I.Organization moment.

Greeting.

How are you? (Cl. Fine, thanks) Sit down, please.

II. Warm - up:

T: I want to start our lesson with phonetic drill. Repeat after me:

T: W – Why, Where, When

T: Now let’s recite the rhyme

Pupils: Why do you cry Willy,

Why do you cry?

Why Willy? Why Willy? Why Willy?

Why?

Main part of the lesson

I. Presentation of new material.

T: You know many questions such as What’s your name? What’s your surname? Where do you live? Have you got a …? Today we are going to learn the new Question: Where is it?

/The picture with this question is on the blackboard?/

T: Look at the blackboard! What do you see? These are new prepositions: on - in- under-

T: Where is the blue ball? – Yes, it is in the box. And where is the red ball? It is under the box. Where is the yellow ball? It is on the box.

T: Now repeat after me: Where is it? Pupils: Where is it?

T: It’s on the box. Pupils: It’s on the box. /pupils repeat after the teacher/

T: Children, show me your pens, OK, now listen to me and do, put your pen on the table! Put your pen under the table! Put your pen in the bag! /pupils do like that several times/

2. Pupils work in group. They are divided into three groups. These three groups ask each other questions

and get cards for each questions, these cards will be soon counted. The group who ask most of the questions is the winner.

T: Now I distribute you the envelopes with puzzle cards, you should join the picture’s parts and say what are they.

P_1: a red cat P₂: a brown bear P₃: a big horse P₄:a grey dog P₅: a white cow P₆:a blue bird

T: And now let’s sing our song, 1 and 2 and 3 and 4

Pupils: they sing a song:

1and 2 and 3 and 4

We are sitting on the floor

We are playing with a ball

And a little pretty doll

3. Work with the numerals:

T: Do you like to do sums? Let’s count from 1 up to a 100.

Pupils count: 1 2 3 4 5 ….100

T: Look at the blackboard, what do you see? 9+5 =…., 20-9=….. 12+1+2=….

Pupils do the sums. /for each correct answer they get one point, counted soon/

Physical minute

T: Now, Let’s have a rest. Stand up, children!

Step, Step

Clap, Clap

Turn yourself around

And then you clap, clap, clap

Pupils do the physical exercises after the teacher.

4. Work with the letters:

T: Let’s sing a song “the ABC”

Pupils sing a song: A B C D E F G

H I J K L M N O P

Q R S T U V W

E X Y Z oh, well, you see

Now I know the ABC

T; Look at this letter, what letter is this?

Pupils in chorus : it’s A, it’s W, it’s Q etc.

And now we will read these letters in your books, open your books, p 37

IV. Work with the book.

Exercise 1.

T: Look at the pictures in the book and read the sentences after me in chorus,

Pupils read after the teacher, then go to the blackboard and read themselves:

T: Who wants to read? Come to the blackboard!

Picture 1: A red bike

Picture 2: A green car

Picture 3: A blue kite

Picture 4: A yellow doll

Picture 5: A purple plane

And we’ll finish our work with a song: If you’re happy

Pupils: if you’re happy and you know it clap your hands

T: Children, you must read these letters and words, then copy them in your exercise-books,

V.Подведение итогов урока. Рефлексия.

Учитель раздает карточки человечков, на доске 3 смайлика-всё понятно, -есть вопросы.- ничего не понял) ученики клеят карточки к этим смайликам по выбору. Чему каждый из вас сегодня научился?

О чем бы вы могли рассказать своим родителям дома после нашего урока?

Cегодня на уроке вы ознакомились с новым вопросом, новыми предлогами повторили цифры прочитали предложения с книги (ученики читают слова a green car, a red bike, a yellow doll, a blue kite, a purple plane). Вы научились считать до 100! Повторили английский алфавит и учимся их писать!
