The project method has recently become extremely popular. Each academic subject has its own specifics and, accordingly, the specifics of the use of certain methods and technologies of teaching. First of all, a foreign language teacher teaches children the ways of speech activity, so we are talking about communicative competence as one of the main goals of teaching foreign languages. Concept of Project method The project method was developed by the American educator and psychologist J. Dewey, as well as his students and followers W. H. Kilpatrick, E. W. Collings. John Dewey, an American educator, psychologist, idealistic philosopher, criticized the school system that dominated the United States at that time for alienating from life, for the abstract, Scholastic nature of all teaching based on the acquisition and assimilation of knowledge. J. Dewey proposed a reform of school education, according to which education was to come from the practical artistry and personal experience of the child.
