Today we have new theme. Our new theme is "Enjoy your flight". I will give you some information about flight, flight attendants life. First of all let's discuss the questions. How do you think?
1Are planes really safer than
cars?
2What are the advantages of travelling by airplane? What are the
advantages and disadvantages?
3 Have you ever seen a female pilot?
4Would you like to be a flight attendant? What are the good and bad
sides?
5Do you know everyone who is afraid of flying?
6 How old were you when you went on you r first flight?
7 Do you like to travel by plane?
8 What was the longest flight you have ever
taken?
Have you ever seen making of an airplane? If you never seen how people make planes, see it together. Here some video materials for you. (3min)
Now we know about planes a little bit.
Let's do exercise 4.Write down whish of the following activities are allowed or not allowed on the plane:
drinking, smoking, opening doors and windows, eating standing up, undoing your seat belt, reading, running, sleeping, walking around.
So, we think only man can be pilots, that's wrong idea. There are also women pilots. I prepared some video materials about woman pilot from Kazakhstan and A Day in the Life of a Flight Attendant .Let's see it together. (10min)
If it's clear for you let's act a role-play about flight. I'll give you some sentences that we use on the plane. Let's go! Students make a dialogue between flight attendant and passenger.

Flight attendant: Ladies and gentlemen, we are ready to take off. Please, bring your seats into an upright position and fasten your seat belts. We also kindly ask you to read the emergency instruction that you will find in the seat pockets in front of you. |

Passenger: Excuse me. Could you help me? I can't fasten my seat belt. |
|

Flight attendant: Sure. Here you go. It works now. |

|
|

Passenger:Yes, please. I'll have a glass of water and a cup of black coffee to start with. |

Flight attendant: Ok, I'll bring it in a few minutes. Anything to eat? |

Passenger:I think, I'll have a ham sandwich. At what altitude are we going to fly? |

|
|
|
Flight attendant: The altitude will be about twenty-five thousand feet. |

|
Passenger:One more question. How long is the flight? |
|
|
|
|
|
Flight attendant: The plane must start landing in an hour and a half. |

|
Passenger:Thank you. |
