Aims

To talk about and practice musical instruments; to distinguish different types of musical instruments and the sounds they make; to develop speaking and writing skills.

Previous learning

Learners will need to be familiar with/reminded of the formation and use of present simple questions, like/don`t like structure.

Beginning the lesson

Organization moment .(Teacher divides the group into 3 groups)

Brainstorming strategy. Listen and guess. Teacher asks learners to listen the melodies of the musical instruments and guess what instrument is it? Learners guess the melodies of musical instruments.

Task 1. Choose and say. Teacher asks learners to divide the musical instruments into several groups and say the sentences.

Task 2.”Drug in” strategy. (Work in pairs)

Teacher gives two circles. There are different words in one circle and the other is empty. Teacher asks learners to find the familiar words. Pull these words from one circle to another and build the sentences with these words using the structure “ like/don`t like”.

• builds the sentences using the structure “ like/don`t like”

Task 3. Collect, translate and say.(Group work)

Teacher gives the letters and asks learners to build the words which the teacher will say. The first translate it into English, then make the sentences using the example. Which group will be the first, rises hands.

Task 4. Make a musical instrument.(Group work)

After watching the video teacher asks learners to make musical instruments using things which teacher bring. Discuss, write and tell about a musical instrument which they have.
