Greet the students.

• “Hello!”/”Good morning!”

• “How are you?”- I am fine, good, ok, super.

• 1Activity “Happiness circle”

T. invites Ss to make the circle and shows the video “Hello song” and everybody sings and does the action. After the video T asks weaker Ss different kind of questions (T. asks questions one by one. T can prompt if Ss can’t understand and answer). e.g.:

1. Hello. How are you?

2. What is your name?

3. What is her/his name?

4. What colour is it? (yellow, blue, black, red, purple)

5. How many ...... have you got? (pens, books, rulers, desks, pencils)

6. What letter is this? (D,A,F,P,E)

T asks questions in kazakh and in English: How many seasons are in the year? How many months are in the year? How many days are in the week? T asks Ss to name the Days of the week in Kazakh.

Differentiation: T can prompt if Ss can’t understand and answer.

T explains new theme on ppt. Teacher drills pronunciation of the words correctly. Once they repeat after the teacher, then they repeat individually.

T shows the video about the days of the week and Ss should sing along the song and do the actions together with T.

2.Activity “What’s missing?”

Teacher hangs flashcards with days on the blackboard and asks Ss to repeat after. Then T organizes short game with flashcards. Instruction of the game: T asks Ss to close their eyes and T takes away 1 flashcard from the board and asks Ss to open their eyes and asks: What day is missing? Several times.

Differentiation: T shows prompting cards, if Ss don’t understand.

Task 1.Finding Initial letters.

Groups are given the tasks and Ss should work using their creativity and find initial letters of the words.

T invites Ss to the blackboard and asks them to make a circle and Ss should sing along the song and do the actions together with T.
