English proficiency in the evolution of the labor market
In today's world, knowledge of English is a window to the world of professions.
English is needed in many fields of activity. To give an example, it is impossible to work successfully without a minimum knowledge of an English programmer. If a person plans to succeed in this professional field, then you should have at least an average level. Diplomats also need English. Then you should know it well. It is clear that translators cannot do without knowing English.
Also, of course, flight attendants and flight attendants must know English to communicate with passengers.
In addition, all employees of foreign companies that deal directly with foreigners.

Don't forget your English teacher at school or university.
Society develops, "technology is updated, equipment becomes obsolete, tools become scrap metal. Professions also grow old and die. This process is natural, it occurs and occurs with any change in technological cycles, for example, coaches are replaced by taxi drivers, postmen-mail server administrators. But if earlier the cycles were tens or even hundreds of years, now their duration is no more than 10-15 years. Although the aging of professions is not "immediate", it is better to know about "retirement candidates" as early as possible, not when they receive a pension card. Perhaps the future profession when choosing, you are interested in one of those that will soon become a thing of the past - for example, the accounting profession, you do not even think that there is a young and promising sector of new job tasks " [7].
The School of Management and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives conducted research "Foresight Competencies 2030" with the participation of more than 2,500 Russian and international experts to determine the professions in demand in 19 sectors of the economy. Experts discussed technological changes, social and economic processes affecting the structure of work tasks, created industry "maps of the future", with the help of which they determined the demand for new competencies and formed the image of new professions. The results of the research were collected in the "atlas of new professions".
"Atlas" is an almanac of promising industries and professions for the next 15-20 years. It tells which industries are actively developing, which new technologies, products, management practices will appear in them, and which new specialists are needed by employers.
"Until 2020 - professions that will be in demand "tomorrow". In developed countries, most of these professions have appeared today (for example, energy auditors, network doctors, GMO agronomists, etc.). These are professions that will be in demand in Russia in the next decade."
After 2020, with favorable technological development of the country and the world, professions that will be needed "after tomorrow".
The speed of change increases, the complexity of professional tasks increases " [7].
70% of future professions in various fields require the acquisition of universal skills such as multilingualism and multiculturalism (fluency in English and knowledge of a second language, understanding the national and cultural context of partner countries, understanding the peculiarities of work in other countries).
