Тема: New innovations

Цель урока: обучение навыкам аргументированного высказывания «за» и «против» современных технологий.

Познавательная задача: обобщение преимуществ и недостатков в использовании современных технологий.

Развивающие задачи:

1) Развитие критического мышления.

2) Развитие связной речи, языковой догадки, слуховой и зрительной памяти, внимания, логического мышления, развитие способностей к узнаванию и сопоставлению нового и ранее изученного.

3) Развитие логики высказывания, умения систематизировать свои знания, высказывать свое мнение и обосновывать свою точку зрения.

Учебные задачи:

1) Ввести материал по теме «Communication and technology»;

2)Повторение и расширение лексического запаса по теме.

3) Развитие навыков говорения, совершенствовать навыки аудирования с выделением выборочной информации.

Воспитательные задачи:

1) Воспитание чувства ответственности за совместную групповую работу.

2) Воспитание уважения к точке зрения собеседника.

3) Вежливо реагировать на просьбы и вопросы собеседника, вступать в общение.

Формирование компетентностей:

Коммуникативная - навыки переработки информации (анализ прочитанной и увиденной видео информации), перевод визуального ряда в речевой, т.е. умение оформлять свои мысли в устной форме и понимать речь других.

Познавательная - обобщение ранее изученной лексики, ориентация в англоязычном тексте, умение находить нужную информацию, осуществлять анализ информации.

Социальная - сотрудничество, работа в команде, коммуникативные навыки;
способность принимать собственные решения, стремиться к осознанию собственных потребностей и целей.

Самообразовательная - гибкость применения знаний, умений и навыков в условиях быстрых изменений; постоянный самоанализ, контроль своей деятельности.

Вид урока: вводный.

Применяемые технологии: проектные, компьютерные, информационные, развития критического мышления.

Ход урока:

I. Речевая подготовка:

1. Организационный момент- Warming-up activity

Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls. I’m glad to meet you. How are you?

Pupils: Not bad, thanks. And you?

Teacher: I’m ok, thank you. I see you look great today. Let’s say compliments to each other. Данное упражнение-приветствие настраивает учащихся на урок английского языка. Все ученики встают друг напротив друга и дарят приветствия и комплименты. Примерные варианты ответов.

Pupils: How are you? – Fine, thanks.

You look wonderful! -So do you!

Your haircut is nice!- Thank you!

Your smile is fantastic! –I’m glad to hear that! (слайд 2)

Мотивация. First of all I want you to watch video for 1 min. (слайд 3,видео) (Учащиеся просматривают видеосюжет о новинках современных технологий, а затем сами называют тему урока). Сообщение темы урока. What is the theme of the lesson? You are right. Today we have an unusual lesson. The theme of our lesson is «New innovations». As you know we live in the century of science and hi-fi technologies. Wonderful inventions are changing the lifestyle of millions of people all over the world. Modern inventions are used in everyday life and make it easier. We can hardly imagine our present day life without important gadgets. One can hardly imagine our present day life without such trivial gadgets as can-openers, air conditioners or vacuum cleaners, calculators, electric kettles, cookers, fridges etc. What are gadgets? What are they for? Why does the modern man need them? I invite you to take part in the lesson devoted to inventions and inventors. And what would you like to know at our lesson? (метод «Ожидания») (слайд 4)

Teacher: Let us remember the names of modern inventions that have changed our life. It’s interesting for me what of the modern inventions do you have at home? (учащиеся отвечают, перечисляя бытовую технику, которая есть дома.) Look at the pictures on the screen. What comes to your minds when you think about modern technologies? Мозговой штурм (Учащиеся называют как можно больше слов означающих изобретения). Работа проводится со всем классом с использованием возможностей интерактивной доски. (слайд 5)

Pupils: PC (personal computer), laptop, mobile phone, microwave oven, MP3 player, digital camera, laptop, I-pad, air conditioners, vacuum cleaners, electric kettles, cookers, fridges etc.

Teacher: How have the new devises changed your life?

P-s: they have simplified our life

P-s: they save our time and space.

P-s: they give us enjoyment and relaxation.

P-s: they help in education.

T. I agree with you because I am of the same opinion. I see, boys and girls that you can say a lot about various devices. But what gadget is the most popular among teenagers nowadays? What is your favourite gadget?

T. And you Sasha? Do you use your computer only for playing games?

3. Речевая зарядка: (слайд 6)

Teacher: Now look at the blackboard .The famous proverb says “Necessity is the mother of invention”. Do you know the Russian equivalent?

Pupils: In Russian we say “Лень – двигатель прогресса”.

Teacher: Why do people invent different gadgets and appliances?

Possible answers: (Возможные варианты ответов)

Pupils: They are lazy and want to make their life easier;

They want to earn some money;

They want to become famous;

They did it by accident;

They like doing it etc.

P11: I’d name such of them as Alexander Graham Bell, Karl Benz, Tomas Alva Edison, Frez and so on.

1. СТАДИЯ ОСМЫСЛЕНИЯ: методика ассоциаций «кластер»

T: We live in the era of science and hi-fi technologies. Modern technology is rapidly spreading over the Earth. Scientists, researches, engineers and designers are eager to improve living standards of the industrially advanced countries. One can hardly imagine our present life without such gadgets as air conditioners or vacuum cleaners, computers or fridges, telephones or electricity.

So, let’s take the word “technology” and working in pairs create 5 associations. (слайд 9)

2. Словарная работа Знакомство с новой лексикой. Работа в парах.

-Look at the words on Slide . (слайд 10)

-Do you know their meanings?

- Work in pairs and look the words up in the dictionaries.

-What have you learnt? Read out the definition. How can we put this word in Russian?

• Camcorder- n a type of camera that records pictures and sound on videotape

• Console- n 1a board that contains the controls for a machine, piece of electrical equipment 2 computing a small piece of electronic equipment used for playing video games

• Sellotape- n [U] trade-mark BrE thin clear plastic tape that is sticky on one side, used for sticking things together

• Cellular phone- n especially AmE a telephone that you carry with you and use in any place; = mobile phone BrE

4 . Совершенствование навыков устной речи.

Ролевая игра «Презентация бытовой техники».

Teacher: Today we have guests from the company of modern appliances. Let’s listen to the presentation about the company and make your own dialogues ’At the shop’. Let’s see if you could be a good salesperson. Each group will get some gadgets and modern inventions. What would you rather buy, if you had a chance? Give us some peaces of advice what to buy as a present for friends and relatives.

6. Работа в группах с использованием проектной методики

Teacher: Nowadays we can’t do without computers, mobile phones, fax machines, digital cameras, microwave ovens, air conditioners etc. As for me, I can’t live without mobile phone, because I can be reachable everywhere and I can never miss something important. If I need some help, I just call my friends. If I have a meeting and I’m late, I can send an SMS with my excuses. It is very fast and convenient. I’m fond of taking photos and sending them to my friends. The only problem is that I spend too much money on my mobile phone. Could you live without it? Why? Which invention is the most important for you? It’s certainly computer and the internet. We use Internet in our everyday life… Nowadays almost everybody has a personal computer at home and many of us have found a new source of information and entertainment – the Internet. Teacher: How have the new devises changed your life?
