I. Greeting. -Good afternoon, dear students! I’m glad to see you! How are you? Who is on duty today? What day is it today? Who is absent today? What was your home task? Today we have an unusual lesson because we have some guests and I hope that you’ll show your best knowledge. II. Phonetic drill: And as usual let us start our lesson with phonetic song. Rain, rain, go away! III. Brainstorming A method “Question-Answer” Teacher asks some questions to discover the theme. The learners make a circle, teacher asks questions by throwing the ball. The learners must respond very quickly. What is your favorite animal? What animal do you like? Which animal are ugly? Which animal can swim? Which animal can jump? Which animal can climb? Which animal can run faster? Which animal most beautiful? Which animal very slowly? Which animal you don’t like? |

Today we’ll talk about a Animal types. Open your copybooks and write down the date and the theme please. Dividing into groups. The teacher gives puzzles of children, they must take one puzzle and join together to create a teams. In our lesson we have two teams. The first team: Tiger The second team: Lion Learning objectives of our lesson are: 3.1.5.1- distinguish between phonemically distinct words; 3.2.1.1- make basic statements which provide personal information on a limited range of general topics;
Assessment criteria are: Give basic information about animals at sentence level. Write topic related words correctly. IV. The main part of the lesson: In our open lesson we have tasks for our teams: Task 1: 6 Thinking hat Teacher brings 6 hats. Learners must choose one hat. Each hat has got name of animal. Learner shows this animal to class through action. 1. Red hat (fish) 2. Green hat (goat) 3. Yellow hat (snake) 4. Black hat (crocodile) 5. White hat (monkey) 6. Blue hat (rabbit) Task 2: Game: “Which animal?” The teacher give for 2 teams list of paper with tasks. In the task the learners must steak the names of animal in the first circle (if the animal are small, big, fast or slow); second circle (if the animal can fly, run, swim, jump); third circle (if the animal live in the water, on the farm, in the jungle, in the sea).

Names of animals for task 2: wolf, fox, spider, snake, sheep, rabbit, duck, goat, cow, lion, dolphin, frog, cat, dog, chicken, monkey, fish, horse, tiger, elephant, bear, kangaroo, crocodile, duck, bird, butterfly, eagle, parrot, camel.
Note: At the end of the game the teams exchange papers and assist each other. If the task is completed correctly they must steak smile, if task is wrong sad.
Animal types: The teacher explain the meaning: Mammal (feed their babies milk from their own bodies) Reptiles (lay eggs and use the heat from the sun to keep their blood warm) Birds (have feathers and wings in the most cases can fly) Teacher gives pictures of animal the learners must identify what animal is mammal, reptile or bird and stick it on the blackboard. Task 3:
Look at the pictures on the blackboard. Which animal is a mammal, a reptile, a bird.
Task 4: Extra vocabulary practice 1. Read and choose yes or no. 1. A spider has got four legs (no) 2. A cow has got two eyes (yes) 3. A rabbit has got three ears. (no) 4. A cat has got four noses.(no) 5. A duck has got one mouth. (yes)
