The theme : “Do you know English well?” 
The aim: to enrich the students speech practices using grammar and vocabulary. 
The objectives: 
-to develop the students speaking habits in English; 
-to develop an ability to express an opinion.
The procedure of the lesson: 
Teacher: Good afternoon, dear guests, teachers and pupils! We are glad to see you at our competition. How are you? Do you know English? Can you speak English? We’ll see it. Good luck for you!
The theme of our competition is: “Do you know English well?”

Now, let’s divide into two groups. Take one of the card and take your seats.

The first group is “Star”, the second group is “Sun”

Our game consists of 4 stages. 
The 1st stage is: Who is the best? 
The 2nd stage is: Complete the proverbs 
The 3rd stage is: Guess the riddles 
The 4th stage is: Think, find.


Teacher: The first stage is called “Who is the best?” 
In these envelopes there are questions. You should read then answer the questions. Each right answer brings you 1 point. 
“Sun”

3. Name the days of the week? (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday)

5. What day comes after Sunday? (Monday)
Teacher: So, the 1-st stage is over. 
The 2^nd stage is ‘Complete the proverbs. I`ll give you proverbs in Kazakh and in English with one missed word and you should find it and translate into Russian and English.

“Sun”

1. Отан оттан да … (ыстық, горячий, hot)

2. Ананың сүті … (бал, мёд, honey)

3.Better late than … (never, ешқашан, никогда)
