The addinion of two numbers а and b is denoted by а + b=c, Where c is the result of the addinion of а and b. Both numbers a and b, are called addends, and c is the sum of a and b .

The subtraction of two numbers а and b is denoted by a- b=c, Where c is the result of the subtraction of b from a. The result c is also called the difference between a and b , and a is known as the subtrahend.
