Differentiation by outcome: LESSON OBJECTIVES: All learners will be able to: understand the detail of the text about “Our friendly family” and identify meaning from short, supported talk and present “Family tree” to others with lots of support; Most learners will be able to: understand the detail of the text about “Our friendly family” and identify meaning from short, supported talk and present “Family tree” to others with some support; Some learners will be able to: understand the detail of the text about “Our friendly family” and identify meaning from short, supported talk and present “Family tree” to others without any support; True/false statement or Insert the correct word. The teacher will give different task to each group. One of the groups will do the True/false statement , while another group will do Insert the correct words task. In this was the teacher plans the differentiated task.

Assessment criteria: - Present information clearly to others; - Differentiate the detail of an argument on a limited range of familiar general and curricular topics; - Identify meaning from context in short, supported talk on an increasing range of general and curricular topics; - Answer with limited flexibility at sentence level to unexpected comments on an increasing range of general and curricular topics; For Listening for specific information task the teacher prepares descriptors: Descriptor : A learner - listens to the information about one’s family; - writes down the names of the family members on special sections.
