Identifying and responding to learners’ needs is central to
the design of the course plans in the updated curriculum.
Report on the positive impact this approach has on
learners’ progress and this has been supported in a range
of subsequent meta- analyses.
The first stage it to identify a learner’s current strengths
and difficulties. This can be done in many ways including
observing learners as they undertake a task , listening to
their activities that will help each learners to make
progress.

I suggest from my experiance a number of elements that

- teachers encourage a risk-taking culture where learners
feel safe to make mistakes
- teachers interact with all learners in order to help them
develop the tools to judge the quality of their work
- teachers make the learning process transparent by
establishing and communicating learning goals, tracking
goals and adjusting teaching to enable learners to meet
these goals.
