Man : In country, we have a celebration called the Twenty-first. We have it here in New Zealand, and Australians celebrate it, too. It’s a big celebration for our twenty-first birthday. When we turn twenty-one, we have a big party with our friends and families. Everyone gives us presents, and there’s lots of food. In the past, the Twenty-first was a very important custom. It meant the person was officially an adult. It’s still important, but now I think the meaning is different. I think it’s really just a chance to have some fun with friends and family.
