The theme of the lesson: «A trip to the Knowledgeland»

Objectives:

  1. to enlarge pupil is vocabulary , to pay attention to their pronunciation;

  2. to develop pupils’ knowledge connecting lesson of biology;

  3. to develop the interest to English languagealso to biology, to respect each other and the culture of another nations to during up them to English language.

Type of the lesson: competition lesson

The kind of the lesson: demonstrative lesson



The procedure of the lesson.

I. Organization moment:

Dear guests, teachers and friends! We are glad to see you at our competition. The weather is excellent today . And we start our game:  «A trip to the Knowledgeland». We hope all of you will enjoy our competition and also we`ll see who will be the winner. And these are our players: the pupils of 9-10 forms. We wish them success. Applaud to them, please. And now, introduce you group and your captain.

            The rule of the competition: there will be 3 round. In 1st contest whole class participates and who will answer the questions correctly get stars, students who couldn’t answer the questions won’t continue the competition. At the end of the competition who will get more stars can become winner. 

Warming up. Game “Who’s faster?”

-Students let’s play the game “Who’s faster?”. You will play this game with a team. I gave the first person a paper and you must put this paper to your feet and go and so on. Who will the first they will have the points!

 І. Lets begin our the first round: Quiz

-In the 1st round we have a quiz from the platform “Kahoot”. There will be 25 questions. So let’s start!

ІІ. Teacher: Attention, please! The next round is called "Mystery box”.

From each team one or two students will come to the center and find what’s in the mystery box. Each group takes turns asking you yes/no questions to guess the contents of the box. At the end of the time, students should consult and, based on the answers they get, guess what kind of object is hidden in the box. #2 What's in the dish? Each of students can get 1 star for the right answer.

III. Teacher: One more round. It’s called " The main mean of the song”. You should answer listen the popular songs and tell me the main mean of the songThere are will be 5 songs. . The students who answer  the first and correctly continue the competition. 

  1. The Weekend-Reminder.

  2. Miley Cyrus-Flowers.

  3. The Weekend-Is there someone else?


IV. The last round: Silent- facial expressions game

This is team work. You must stand in one line. We show one word to the student standing in the last place and he tells the next student through facial expressions and movement. Whoever guesses the most wins.


End of the competition-lesson:

Teacher: Dear friends! Our game comes to the end. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves. The English language is very useful. The English language is very important. Try to get only excellent marks in English. Thanks a lot to everyone for taking an active part at our lesson. We hope that it was interesting for you. Good bye! See you soon!
