Good day, pupils and teachers, guests! Welcome to our competitive lesson! We are glad to see you and we hope that you’ll enjoy today’s lesson.

Now it is time to introduce you with the judges of our contest.

1st level is “Presentation”. The participants introduce themselves in a creative way. The highest mark is 10.

2^nd level is Baiga. Each team will be asked 6 questions in a minute. For each right answer 1 point.

1^st group

1. How many letters are in English alphabet? 26

2. What’s the capital of Great Britain? London

3. What is the favourite hot drink in London? tea

4. Who is president of the USA? Joe Baiden

5. Which holiday is celebrated on the 31^st October ? Halloween

6. Translate into English and Russian (Өз үйім өлең төсегім – Нет место лучше дома)

2^nd group

1. The author of Romeo and Juliet is William Shakespeare

2. The Union Jack is the flag of the United Kingdom

3. What holiday is celebrated on the 25^th of December? Christmas

4. What do American people call their police officers? cops

5. Translate into 2 languages

6. The full name Great Britain. United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

6. Translate into 2 languages

3^rd level is Magic cards. For each correct answer 2 points.

Each team take turns choosing one card and answers it.

4^th level is Solve the riddles. 2 points for each correct answer.

1. If the day before yesterday is the 23rd, then what is the day after tomorrow. (27^th)

2. I can carry lots of food. but can't eat anything. what am I?​ (fridge)

3. I am yellow and small, I like swimming best of all (duck)

4. I am an odd number. Take away a letter and I become even. What number am I?
   Answer: Seven

5.  If there are three apples and you take away two, how many apples do you have?
   Answer: You have two apples.

6. You get 2 points.

7. Mr. and Mrs. Mustard have six daughters and each daughter has one brother. How many people are in the Mustard family?

Answer: There are nine Mustards in the family. Since each daughter shares the same brother, there are six girls, one boy and Mr. and Mrs. Mustard.

8. I make two people out of one. What am I?

Answer: A mirror.

9. I am white when I am dirty, and black when I am clean. What am I?

Answer: A blackboard.

5^th level is Game crocodile. 1 point for each correct described and guessed word

6^th level is Check your grammar.. 1 point for each answer.
