2.Mitosis - Indirect Division 3.Meiosis - Reduction

Amitosis is the major means of reproduction in bacteria, unicellular protozoa and unicellular fungi like yeast. The multiplication process in vertebrate foetal membranes is also the amitosis. Process of Amitosis: - The following steps are involved in the process of amitosis: i) Due to
auxetic growth the cell is being
enlarged.
Advantage of Amitosis: -In this process the cell division is completed within a short time. The Amitosis is the major means of reproduction in lower organism like yeast, bacteria etc. Disadvantage of Amitosis: - In this process of cell division there is no possibility of genetic recombination and there is a possibility of expression of unwanted recessive genes. |
