Greeting: Teacher greets learner. Learners respond to greeting.

Dividing into subgroups: `Is it domestic or wild?`

Teacher divides learners into subgroups using pieces of animals’ pictures and learners shows photo of animals which they have and say is it pets or domestic or wild.


Brainstorming

Game: `Who am I?`

Game “Who am I ” Learners listen to the sounds of animals and say a name of the animal: This is a wolf. This is an elephant.

Pronunciation . Read the poem

I saw, I saw, I saw

A tiger at the zoo.

I saw, I saw, I saw

A baby tiger too.

I saw, I saw, I saw

A big kangaroo.

I saw, I saw, I saw

I saw them at the zoo.

Learners repeat this poem with a teacher.

A kangaroo

A kangaroo is the national symbol of Australia. It`s an animal that carries babies in the pouch for eight months. It can weigh 85 kilograms. A kangaroo moves by hopping on its strong hind legs. To balance its body while hopping , a kangaroo uses its long thick tail.

A giraffe

It is a wild animal. It lives in Africa. It is orange and white with black spots. It has got a long neck. It can run fast.
