Animals - Revision (15) Whole class activity: - give students a couple of minutes to revise the vocabulary on the topic “Animals” - nominate students and elicit target vocabulary by means of showing pictures of various animals Formative assessment: - give the task. (tell students that they must match the picture with the word) - hand out worksheets for matching activity - set a time limit of 2 minutes; monitor students’ progress - go around the class, monitor and assist if necessary - in 2 mins collect the papers for further assessment; give students praising stickers for their work. Writing and reading activity - find out what is the word? Give 3 min for doing this task. “Thumbs Up” if you think the word is right, “Thumbs down” if the word is wrong. Now I give you card with letters, your task is to make the word and read it correctly. I’ll give 3 min. Look at the board, read and guess the riddles.
Now we have another task, I give you cards you have to answer the questions. For example, look at the board. What is it? It is a frog. What can it do? It can jump. |
