1. Organizational moment

Teacher greets learners.

Teacher checks up the attendance of students

Teacher prepares cards with the words from the previous lesson and divide the students into 2 groups using cards, such as “illnesses”, and “remedies”. The teacher gives learners evaluation sheet.

2. Checking home task

( review the previous lesson about illnesses):

1. Toothache

2. Backache

3. Stomachache

4. Cold

5. Sore throat

The teacher explains the lesson with the quotation “Health is

a wealth”.

Teacher discusses learning objectives with the students.

Learners should distinguish illnesses from remedies. Then they should join the group according to the chosen card

Learners should match the names of the illnesses with pictures

Learners should read quotations, then translate and find out about what will be the theme of the lesson

Task 1. Listen to the dialogue and answer the questions:

1. What’s wrong with John?

2. Did he take a painkiller?

3. What kind of advice gave Jenny to John?

4. Name those health expressions that are used in the audio.

Watching a video:

Teacher shows a video about health problems.

Task 2. Watch the video and choose the correct answer:

1. I have a backache-

2. I have a stomachache-

a)You should eat junk food.

3) I have a sore throat-

a)You should drink cold mineral water

b)You should drink some hot tea with honey and lemon.
