The theme of our previous lesson My family. Let’s watch the video and repeat the words from that lesson. And grammar theme was possessive case. Look at the Family tree and make up a dialogue as in the example. Before the beginning of the new lesson teacher introduces the new words using active board. Learners listen to the video paying attention to pronunciation. Then read out the new words correctly and try to remember their translation. New words:
After introducing learners should find the opposites of adjectives. Let’s try to learn new words in pairs of opposites. It helps you remember them Ex 5 Are you tired? Let’s play some game work in pairs You should use the adjectives to make sentences about your family and friends. Mime the adjective. Your partner finds the adjective. GRAMMAR SPOT Look at the screen and read the rule. At the previous lesson we have read about The Flintstones, and you should find other examples about the position of adjectives in sentences from the text.
Now it’s time to practise making sentences with adjectives. Task Differentiated task (Individual work) All learners do tasks using character adjectives. A-learners. Write in the correct order.
B-learners Choose the correct word.
C-learners Listen to Peter talking about his family. Who is each person below and what is each person like? Group work. And the last task for today you should draw family tree and write about your family and present it to the class. Your marks are … your home task is learn new words. |
