Greeting Teacher greets students. Good morning, dear students! How are you doing today? Brainstorming - Modern life impossible without travelling. Almost all people are fond of travelling. It’s very interesting to see new places, events, another towns and countries. - Do you like travelling? - Why do people travel? - What attracts tourists except the beautiful nature in your opinion? Teacher introduces learning and lesson objectives: Today we’ll: identify the meaning of new vocabulary; define the specific information and use it in posters; work in groups Warming up. Teacher asks learners to match the descriptions to the pictures of festivals while listening (Ex2 p63 SB) |

Teacher asks students scanning the text and join the groups - Today we’ll have an unusual travelling lesson. We’ll visit different festivals around the world. Teacher gives students airplane tickets with their names and places to visit. Teacher divides students into 3 groups. Pre-reading Teacher asks students to listen to the new vocabulary and repeat them (p64 SB 6a) While-reading Teacher offers to students to complete the task for better memorizing the new vocabulary (Handout 1) Post reading -Dear travellers, you just have arrived in that Festival, please make a poster about your festival. Advertise your festival to tourists. Try to find answers for the questions below: -Why this Festival is different from others? - Did you like this Featival? Why? Teacher asks students to advertise their festivals showing posters. Extra task Teacher asks learners to fill KWL chart about the text. |
