Good morning, children! I’m glad to see you. I hope you are fine and ready to work, aren’t you? What’s the name of our pupil’s book? Right! Smile! Look at each other and smile; we are glad to see our guests. In the morning we are very active and have to do a lot of things, let’s start. T tells lesson objectives and asks questions. How are you? How old are you?

Before we start, let’s train our tongues. Look at the screen and repeat after me.

Phonetic drilling:

  • In winter I ski and skate. Says little Kate

  • In spring I like to play. Says little May

  • In summer I like to swim. Says little Jim

  • In autumn I like to read. Says little Kit.

Listen and do. Repeat tongue twister after the teacher. Students mime and say slowly, loudly and fast.

Questions:

First, T practices the short answers by asking the children some questions about the weather and seasons. Then models and drills the answers.

  • What’s the weather like today?

  • What weather do you like/don’tlike?

  • Name 4 seasons.

  • What’s your favorite season?

  • What’s the weather like in winter / spring / summer / autumn?

Ss repeat after teacher correctly
