Let’s get introduced with our new topic
Pair work • Divide the class into pairs, let them choose card. Cards have questions that students should answers in affirmative and negative forms. • Students find the past forms in the game. In a weaker class or if you are short of time, allow them to work in pairs and find four each. • Check answers with the class and mind the pronunciation of some of the past forms if necessary. Group work • Give out A3 papers to each group. 1st group should complete the sentences finding the words in the bottle. 2nd group should also complete the gaps making a circle exercise 3rd group should write and present main facts about historical figures of Kazakhstan using the pictures • Check the answers by asking students to read out the complete phrases Individual work • Ask students to look at exercise 1 on page 43. Ask them to complete the sentences with the past form of the verbs • Ask them to write their answers on the board Reflection • Ask students to look at the board and choose their answers about the topic • Students check their answers in the game. Remind them that the game uses the past simple forms, so they will be different |
