Procedure of the lesson:

  1. Organization moment: Good morning! How are you today? Good? Who is on duty today? Could you please clean up the blackboard? What a nice day today, isn’t it? Let’s begin our lesson! Let’s do phonetic exercise.

There is a tongue twister for you:

She sells sea-shells on the sea-shore

The shells that she sells are sea- shells I’m sure.

-Let’s repeat it two times together…Now listen to one member from each group. Let’s begin with the first group.

- Each of you has two circles: a green one and a red one.

Now I’m going to read you verbs of three forms. If there are verbs of the same sound you will raise a green card, if there are verbs of wrong pronunciation you will raise a red card.

For example:

doll-ball dog-frog

snake-cake clock-sock

bee-tree moon-spoon

mouse-house snow-know

II. Speaking:

- Today we are going to recite Present Simple, Past Simple and Future Simple tenses. Who can tell us a rule about each grammar tense? Our task is to remember their constructions, time-markets and how we usually construct affirmative, interrogative and negative sentences. Let’s listen to one pupil from each group.

- Dialogues to represent on the theme “Shopping”. Let’s listen to a pair from each group…

III. Grammar practice

Open the brackets using the verb in the right tense form:

IV. Writing:

V. Posters:

There are three groups to work today. The first group will have a theme “Present Simple tense” to work on. The second group will have a theme “Shopping”, the third group will have a theme “Future Simple tense”. I’ll give you 7-10 minutes to work together, all take part in this work from each group. Then 2 pupils will defend them…

VI. Conclusion: Now I’d like you to write wishes to other two groups in the stickers. There is also a success stairs for you to come and leave a sticker on the branch to which you attitude this theme understanding. Your hometask will be to revise all simple forms and to make up 10 sentences. Your narks for today are…Now the lesson is over. Have a good day and good bye!
