Teacher introduces a new theme “Transport of the Future”

Teacher reviews a construction of verbs with “will”;

We use will to talk about the future in general.The future tense in English is formed in two ways:1. Will;2. Going to
Will: Subject + will + base verb + object
I will go to work tomorrow.They will eat seafood for dinner.


Will is
 always followed by a base verb:

  • I sing.

  • He sings.

I will sing.

  • He will sing.

Contractions with Will

I will                   I`ll
You will             You`ll
He will               He`ll
She will              She`ll
It will                  It`ll
We will              We`ll
They will            They`ll
Going to: Subject + verb to be + going to + base verb + object

  • I am going to eat pizza for dinner.

  • He is going to go to work tomorrow.

  • They are going to have a party on Saturday.

QUESTIONS:
For questions in the simple future, change the subject and the 
auxiliary verb.

  • Will you come to the party?

  • Will she go to work tomorrow?

  • Are you going to come to the party?

  • Is he going to play soccer tonight?

NEGATIVES

For negatives in the simple future, use "not".


  • I will not cook dinner tonight.

  • I am not going to cook dinner tonight.

Teacher divides Ss into three groups.

  1. Ss watch video about the transport.

  2. Three groups should draw their own transport of the future and explain them.

  1. Reading the text “Transport of the future” .

Every day we use cars, buses, bikes and trains to get around. But how will we travel in the future? We asked three experts for their predictions…

  1. Match the statements with the transport.

5) Ss role play the auction of correct sentences.

  1. We will buy a new house next week.

  2. Will I spended my money on vacation?

  3. You won’t have watch TV tomorrow.

  4. She will fly to America next year.

  5. They will eat seafood for dinner.

  6. He will be play football tonight.

  7. I will be in Canada next year.

  8. You won’t been rich, but you will been happy.

  9. Will his sister is drawing a picture next week?

10 o’clock tomorrow.

6) Ss play game “Fortune teller”.

A half of the Ss will be a customer, a half a fortune teller. Customers ask questions from fortune teller.

Customer: Will I travel?

Fortune teller: Yes, you will…

7) Competition.

Ss should choose correct verb in the sentences.

Mary will(dust/dusted) the house.

8) Complete the story.

Each group watch their video. Teacher makes a pause while watching. Ss should complete the story.

Teacher asks Ss to stick the stickers to conclude the lesson. For this teacher uses the pictures of suitcase, grinder, rubbish bin.

Teacher gives marks to Ss.

Homework: WB: p. 19-20.
