3. New theme. To start our lesson I show them map of Kazakhstan with its heritage. And their favorite character captain Jack Sparrow will be our guest. Learners do the tasks with Jack Sparrow. They must do the tasks to get to the capital city Nur Sultan. To reach the first
heritage Sher Kala learners revise numbers from 100 to 999. Then I
introduce them 1000 (thousand). I show the numbers from 1000 to
5000 and they practice counting in English. |

4. Practice work. Then learners listen to the
audio, point and repeat the number.
5. Find Captain Jack Sparrow’s treasure! Do the sums and cross off the places on the map. The last plase is where the treasure is. The second point is Yurt. To reach the second heritage learners count numbers and write the summary. Such way they can remember written form of the numbers.
The third point is
Singing Sand. Before reaching the heritage I explain them
prepositions of place.
The last point is the capital city Nur Sultan. I send students reference to the online test. I find it very useful. Because it is attractive, gives results at once. And students can do it any time to make quick revision. Also this site gives certificate to support students' knowledge. |
