  • Watch the video, repeat the names of animals and answer the short questions

  • Complete the quiz with name of animals

  • Give an important facts about animals size, colour, where they live and what they eat

  • Divide animal words into categories and write their names;

Make up short conversations about their favorite animals

a)Organization moment

Teacher greets with students, students respond to greeting and take their places.

Greeting: Good morning children! Glad to see you again!

How are you today?

What is the date today?

Who is absent from the lesson?

What was your homework for today?

b)Introduce students with lesson objectives

c) “Brain storming” activity

Teacher asks some questions about nature, animals and gives some riddles;

- What do you know about nature? Students answer the questions and try to find the answer to riddles;

-This animal has a beautiful white skin with black stripes is ... (Zebra)

- It is brown. It has got four legs. It sleeps in winter. It likes fish.

What is it? (Bear)

- What types animals are these?

Then the students try to find the theme of the lesson, teacher divide the class into two groups with pictures of wild and domestic animals

(I) Task 1 . Listening. Strategy short answer “Yes or No”

Students watch the video about animals and answer the short questions

Can  crocodiles live in hot and dry places? Yes\ No

Teacher shows the pictures of animals on the smart board, then the students complete the quiz Who am I?

  1. Task 2 . Writing. Animal quiz: Who am I?

  1. I have got a very big nose, I live for up to seventy years and I am 6000 kilos______________________

  2. I am different colours. I like flowers. I fly but I am not a bird__________________

  3. I am very big and grey, I like water__________

(G) Task 3 Activity Works with poster

Teacher give a poster for the first group about wild animal and the second group about domestic animal. Then the students make up poster ( write about animals size, colour, where they live and what they eat)







Differentiation :

-more able students help to less able students express their idea asking “hot or cold” questions in group work;





(I) Task 4 . Teacher gives worksheet the students to complete the chart with types of animals.
