Цели занятия: Develop reading comprehension skills on the topic of Hyperrealism in Art. Enhance critical thinking through text analysis and discussion.

Объязанности:

1. Define and explain hyperrealism in their own words.

2. Read and understand a text about Guido Daniele’s hyperrealistic art.

Ожидаемые результаты:

1Use new vocabulary related to hyperrealism.

2Successfully complete reading comprehension activities.

Ресурсы: Projector/printed images of Guido Daniele’s work, Markers, board, Worksheets with comprehension questions, cards.

Ход урока

І. Организационный момент. Warm-Up (10 min)

1. Class Discussion:

• Show students an image from the textbook (Guido Daniele’s art).

• Ask:

  • Is this a photo or a painting? Why do you think so?

  • What do you know about hyperrealism?

  • What skills do artists need to create such works?

Объяснение новой темы. Reading & Comprehension (25 min)

1. Skimming Task (5 min):

• Students skim the text Hyperrealism in Art (p. 77) in pairs and underline key details.

• Answer the question: What is hyperrealism? (1-2 sentences).

2. Intensive Reading (10 min):

• Students read the text again and complete Exercise 3 (fill in the gaps).

• Peer check answers in pairs.

• One student writes answers on the board for whole-class feedback.

3. Comprehension Questions (10 min):

• Group Activity: Students work in small groups to answer questions (Exercise 2).

• Teacher facilitates discussion.

• Groups present answers, and the class discusses them.

III. . Закрепление проведенной темы Speaking & Group Work (25 min)

1. Group Discussion (10 min):

• Question: Why do people love hyperrealistic art?

• Students share their ideas and opinions in small groups.

2. Role-Play Activity (15 min):

• Task: Students act out an interview with Guido Daniele.

• One student plays the journalist, and the other is the artist.

• They use the text and their own ideas to create at least 5 questions and answers.

• Selected pairs perform in front of the class.

Подведение итогов урока IV. Writing Task (20 min)

1. Reflection Writing (10 min):

• Task: Students write a short paragraph (5-7 sentences) answering:
  How does hyperrealistic art make you feel?

• Encourage creativity and personal opinions.

2. Peer Review (10 min):

• Students exchange papers and provide one positive comment and one suggestion.

• Volunteers share their reflections with the class.

• Students complete a one-word exit ticket:

  • Describe today’s lesson in one word!
