Theme: «Best of the best»

The aims of the lesson:

1) Educational: to teach the students to love their mother tongue and respect foreign languages.

2) Developing: to develop the pupils habits of the oral speech , to develop pupils creative and logical abilities, understanding, reading and writing, grammar and lexical skills.

3) Bringing-up: to bring up love and interest to the subject, to respect each other, to create an English atmosphere in the classroom.

Inter-subject connection: Kazakh, English, Russian

The type of the lesson: competition

The equipment of the lesson: diagrams on the tasks, pictures, posters, computers, interactive board.

T: Ok, pupils, today we have a competition lesson, so we will compete. At first let's divide our class into 2 command. Now, the first command we'll call as «Future kings» , and second command is called as « Pretty princess».

Our competition consists of 8 parts. They are:

1. Acquaint

2. Polyglot

3. Crocodile

4. Distinction

5. Who is faster?

6. Clever friends

7. Conclusion

Our jury are: _____________________________________ . Juries please estimate points of 2 commands.

1. Let's begin our 1^st turn, which is called Acquaint. In this turn we must to acquaint.

First command «Future kings»

Second command « Pretty princess».

2. Polyglot. I'll set you riddles to solve. You must find answer of these riddles and translate it into Russian and English. Point of 1 riddle is 10.

1. Айдалада ақ отау,

Аузы мұрны жоқ отау.

(жұмыртқа – яйцо – an egg)

2. Сол аяқ пен оң аяқ,

3. Crocodile. In this turn we'll show the words to own command in 5 minute, but we can’t say. Own command must find words in 5 minute. Point of 1 word is 5.

4. One more contest. It's called “ Distinction”. You must find differences between two pictures.

You should find the superfluous words.

8. Conclusion

T: I will give tokens to the groups whose answers are right and at the end of the competition I will count the tokens. Which group has many tokens it will be a winner. Our jury will add up the score of the game.
