Learning objectives that this lesson is contributing to

3.3.4.1 use with some support a simple picture dictionary;

3.5.14.1 use prepositions of location and position: at, behind, between, in, in front of, near, next to, on, under, above to describe where people and things are, use prepositions of time: on, in, at to talk about days and times and no preposition last week

All learners will be able to:

  • write basic sentences and respond using visuals;

  • practice learned vocabulary with support.

Most learners will be able to:

  • use most of the words in the speech;

  • answer questions with minimum support.

Some learners will be able to:

  • write basic sentences with basic words, phrases and short; sentences using visuals with no support about the buildings

1.1.   Organization moment

T: Stand up! Stand still!

T: Good afternoon, pupils!

T: What is the weather like today?

T: Thank you. Sit down!


1.3Checking up the homework.

T: I’ll check up your home task. What was your home task for today?

P: Our home task was do exercise 11, at page 45.

T: Well, you must choose the right variant, am I right?

P: Yes.

T:I’ll give stars, squares, rounds and they show your marks

Red star – excellent

Yellow round – satisfied


Warm up

T:Are you tired? Now let’s  rest.  Let’s do  our  physical exercise. At first I’ll do it. Then you’ll repeat with me.

T:Now, divided into 2 groups by cards. On the desk you have parts of picture. Put them in order and make picture. (3min)

T: What is in the picture?

P: Buildings!!!

T: Good! So our new topic today is BUILDINGS. Look at the screen, we have a Presentation.

Leaners name the buildings and describe them.


T. Ok, let’s play our game. Today we’ll play the game.. Do you want to play the game?

P. Yes, we want

T. Ok, at first I’ll explain the rule of this game. At first I’ll give you cards and 1 student from each team come and choose 1 card of them. In each card written a number of a question. You will come and choose a card with question and answer it, ok? Now, let’s begin! Ok, It is very easy for you that’s why I’ll give you only 5 minutes.

T. Have you finished pupils? Now lets begin and who wants?


Leaners listen to the meanings and guess the buildings:

  1. A building where you go to check out books or to read books

  2. A building where you can have delicious food

  3. A building where you buy petrol for your car

  4. A building where you keep your money

  5. A building where you study

  6. A building where you go when you are sick

  10. A building where you pay to have a room to sleep in, and where you can sometimes eat meals.
