Game ‘Change your place’: students make a circle and each of them has cards with some classroom objects. When the teacher tells “ change your place” and says which thing should change their place, students follow instructions. |

Teacher shows and pronounces actions-classroom routines: open close sit stand listen read write sing say look go find point Children repeat and response physically.
Teacher indicates actions wrongly using concept checking questions. Energizer If You're a Kid (Dance Around!) (song for kids about following directions)Drilling Learners are in 2 lines facing their partner. One learner has set of flashcards above and says action verbs for the other learner to mime action/ Learners then change roles.
(G) In groups of 3 or 4 learners play “go fish” with sets of jumbled ‘action’ flashcards. Each learner takes turns to turn over two cards. Learners win cards if they match and correctly name action: open close sit stand listen read write sing say look go find point (W) Formative assessment
