II. New theme. Today’s of our lesson is “Eating in Britain”. Now before beginning our lesson I,d like to present you the quotation of today’s lesson look at the blackboard! “An apple a day keeps the doctor  away”. What does this proverb mean?. Күніне бір алма жесең, саған дәрігердің қажеті жоқ.

T-That’s right. 

This lesson you’ll be working in two groups.

Group A                                                                                                      Group B

I’ll give you red apples for right answers and active work, yellow apples for good, green apples for not bad answers .

III. T – What was your home task for today?

S – Our home task was to learn new words and to make a dialogue. First task is revising new words connecting with food, drinks, fruit and vegetables. I’ll give you two sheets of papers for two groups and you must write new words on these papers and hang them on the blackboard.

Now let’s check your dialogues.

IV. Next task is to mark definition which of them are countable (C), which of  them are uncountable (U).

V.Look at the table. ( графопроектор) Let’s read.

There are many apples on the tree.

There are not many bananas on the plate.

There is much water in the bottle.

There is not much coffee in the cup.

T – What have you noticed?  When do we use much?

                                               When do we use many?

S – We use much with uncountable nouns, many with  countable nouns.

Now listen to the text carefully, then you’ll write on your exercise-books what kind of food you’ve heard.

English Traditional Meals.

Most English families have three meals a day. They have for their breakfast anything from bread, butter and orange jam (marmalade) to a cooked meal of bacon, eggs, sausage, tomato and mushrooms, fruit juice or cereal. People usually eat them with bread or toast, tea or coffee.English people have for their lunch soup, sandwiches or salad, cheese and fruit. The main cooked meal is usually in the evening. An evening meal may have the main course of meat or fish and vegetables followed by pudding, fruit and cheese. They have supper a little later. Supper is a light meal eaten late at night, perhaps, after a visit to the cinema or theatre.

IX. Make up an English traditional tea.

How english people make tea? I’ll give you some pictures and some cards with sentences. Your task is to match pictures with sentences.

1.Fill the kettle with cold water.     

2.Boil the water.

3.Warm the water.

4.Put 3 teaspoons of tea in the pot.

5.Pour hot water into the pot.

6.Enjoy your tea.
