“English smarters”

Aim: to increase students' interest in learning a foreign language and the country of the language being studied..

Tasks:

1.Educational:. Increase in the vocabulary of students;. Broadening the linguistic outlook and learning of students; Familiarization with comparison idioms in English.

2.Practical:. Activation and consolidation of the vocabulary on the topics of School, Professions;. Identification of the level of knowledge, skills and abilities on the topics covered;. Repetition of the grammatical material by the tempo Present Simple, Present Continuous;.

3.Developing:. Development of language intuition, attention and logical thinking;. 4.Educational:. Education of the ability to work in a team;. Education of the sense of mutual help;. Education of respectful attitude to rivals;. Education of culture of communication.. Equipment:. Balloons, cards with tasks, interactive board, cards for competitions "Lazy Sentences","Captains', "Actors", musical accompaniment, evaluation sheet, class board, chalk, certificates and diplomas.

The content and form of the event are fully in line with the planned objectives and tasks:

A) The event has great cognitive value;

B) The objective of the event is to create an interest in the English language and the country of study, i.e. to increase students' motivation for the subject;

B) The event had the following educational value:

contributed to the formation of a versatile and harmoniously developed personality of the student, taught in students quality of cooperation and interaction, competitive spirit and desire to be first.

G) The form of the event (game-competition) was chosen taking into account the age (for students in grade 5 a free form of the event on foreign language is more acceptable) and the individual psychological characteristics of the pupils (the class always had an atmosphere of competition and competition).

D) Interdisciplinary links were traced (English, country studies).

Материал внеклассного мероприятия полностью основан на учебном материале, изучаемом на уроках английского языка по данной теме.

В организации мероприятия прослеживался творческий элемент в деятельности учителя и учащихся: учитель старался создать непринуждённую атмосферу общения на иностранном языке, ученики же активно проявляли творческое мышление при выполнении упражнений-конкурсов.

Degree of preparation of the event:

The event was entirely in English: teacher and students talk.

Students' attitude towards the event:

During the event, students showed enthusiasm and high activity.

Showed discipline and personal interest.

The after-school event was characterized by a business and friendly atmosphere of mutual understanding and interest. The psychological climate was conducive and conducive to fruitful cooperation between teachers and students to achieve the goals set.

Students rate the event as interesting and informative. One of the most pleasant parts of the event was the announcement of the winner and awarding teams (as prizes were used diplomas and certificates, as well as «good» and «excellent» ratings).

General characteristics of the event:

The event can be considered as a consolidation of the passed material on the topic «School, Professions», which confirms its cognitive, didactic, developmental and educational value. This form of the event is chosen well and is sufficiently effective for this stage of education and corresponds to the age characteristics and interests of students. It is considered a shortcoming that the audience did not participate in the competition, we had to plan the competition for the audience.

The material chosen for the event was appropriate to the children’s level of development.

It also promoted increased interest in the lesson, cognitive activity in learning English, improvisation and imagination. The event demonstrated that results were in line with objectives, and

The after-school event was a competition between two teams, which helped to develop the ability to work in groups,

At the end of the event, the results were summarized and grades were given out, all students received diplomas and certificates. The lesson used techniques and methods of collective, group work with students. The combination of these techniques and techniques allowed to realize a hidden control of the development of speech skills and see students' assimilation of previously passed material.

I think this extracurricular event was a success, as there were no negative aspects of the event. Students with interest and eagerness entered into dialogue with each other, actively worked in groups, you could see the communicative release of children in a warm, friendly atmosphere. There were no changes during the event. During the event in the class atmosphere of friendship and mutual appreciation reigned.

The objectives and targets of the activities have been achieved.

Children have received emotional and aesthetic satisfaction.
