Greeting.

Warm-up/Dividing into groups

The teacher engages the pupils by throwing a dodecahedron. It shows different activities (head, ear, teeth, moustache, nose, foot, face, beard, eye, lips, hair, hand) to create positive atmosphere. Then the teacher divides students into two groups by choosing papers.

1 group-Kazakhstan

2 group-the UK

Teacher chooses the group leader from the groups.

Then she checks the home work (learn by heart countries with their nationalities)

T: Today we will get introduced with flags of our country Kazakhstan and the UK.

Today’s theme is Flags of the world

In today’s lesson we will:

-learn new words;

-work with the text;

-identify specific details by reading about the flags

T: Let’s start our lesson

The teacher shows the video what does the flag mean.

Then she introduces new words. She gives a list of new words.

Method “Graphic organizer”

And now we will read and understand the text. Then you have to work in a group and fill in the graphic organizer related to your texts. After you will present your poster to the class.

Group “Kazakhstan” you read the text “Flag of Kazakhstan”

Group “The UK” you read the text “Flag of the UK”

Teacher gives a graphic organizer to fill in the information.

She gives time to work in a group.

After presenting their poster the teacher conducts a group assessment and the groups evaluate each other with applause.


Ss read the texts and fill in their graphic organizer.

Then each group presents their posters.



After presenting their posters, the leader gives coins to the active members of the groups.
