WU. T greets learners, introduces to the learning objectives and asks to find out the topic of the lesson looking at the picture.

The Rules:

  • Divide students into two (or more) teams. Give each team one minute to list as many words as possible from the current unit on a piece of paper. The team with the most words must explain the definition of each word. If they miss a definition, the other team can take over explaining those definitions to win.

Pre reading. Before beginning this task T collaborate 4 groups: city break, theme park, beach holiday, camping holiday

GW. Make a cluster. Write the related words that you think will appeared to this words “camping holiday”, “city break”, “ theme park”, “beach holiday” , describe type of holiday is given to group.

Differentiation by flexible regrouping. (teacher regroups themselves)

GA. Criteria:

1. Learners write only related words.

2. Give extended description to the themes.

Reading. “Making plans to go on holiday”

FA. While reading.

Multiple choice. SA

Post reading. “Using pictures”

Criteria.

  1. Describe the picture full.

  2. Observe grammar rules in speaking

  3. Give extended answer the putting questions

Select seven or eight pictures. Some of these should relate to the topic of the text the students have read. Ask the students to make small groups and give each group a copy of the pictures. The learners should work together to decide which pictures best associate with the reading. Encourage them to provide reasons for a picture being associated or not. After they have finished doing this, each group can take it in turns presenting their ideas.

Quiz. Choose the word that you think doesn’t belong with the others and explain why.

Write. Write a list of holiday related words and travel related words(pay attention to the differences between holiday and travel)

Group feedback.

T provides feedback to each group looking at their notes. If necessary, gives comments on the job done by learners.
