Teacher introduces the lesson objectives. Yes, we’ll talk about weekends. And at the end of the lesson you will make a project about the possible ways of spending weekends in our city.

Teacher asks students to work in pairs discussing the following questions:

• Do you like weekends? Why/Why not?

• What do you usually do at weekends?

Working with the text and video.

Learners are given a task to watch the video about weekends and fill in the gaps in the textbooks. They check each other’s answers looking at the PowerPoint Presentation. The pupils should give one point for each correct answer in the evaluation papers.

They check answers through looking at the screen. The pupils evaluate themselves for this task giving one point for each correct answer. They use evaluation papers.

Speaking

Learners answer the questions: What does Jane/Nurlan do at weekends? Discuss as a class.

Students work in three groups, preparing a blog or a webpage about spending weekends in our city. The first group is #entertainment, the second group is #nature, the third group is #culture. They use pictures, hashtags.

The pupils present their blogs or instapages.
