The script of the game in English language

between 7- 11 grade’s pupils

«Improve Your English!»

The title is « Intellectual Marathon ».

Aims of the game:

1. To develop students’ unscripted speech.

2. To develop creative abilities of students.

3. To educate their interest in studying of subject.

4. To summarize the students’ knowledge of the country study.

Educational task:

1.During the creative ,independent ,individual and group work to with didactic materials to consolidate the knowledge of pupils and broaden their thoughts.

Developing tasks:

1. To develop the ability to work in a team and to interact;

2. To develop positive personal qualities, as responsibility, good will and sense of mutual assistance

3. To train their attention, memory and thinking skills

Plan

Teacher: Good afternoon, children and our guests! I’m very glad to see you here. Now we shall organize a competition called “ Intellectual Marathon”. Two teams will take part in a game of the cleverest. It’s time to introduce yourselves. Who is the captain of the 1^st team?

P1: I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Erudites”. Our motto is “ Live and learn!”

Teacher: Who is the captain of the 2^nd team?

P2: I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Experts”. Our motto is “ Knowledge is power!”.

Participants:

11 grade: Imanberdi Perizat,Imanberdi Janerke, Kerimkul Moldir,Asilbek Bekzat and Sheten Altinay

10-grade: Ibadulla Nurila,Akinbabay Mukhamed,

8- grade: Beknazar Asel,Imanberdi Aida,Kobeeva Ajar,Ibadulla Dariga,Nurtaza Ersultan

7-grade: Shahidulla Aiganim, Ushken Fatima,Risbek Dias,Shamil Dastan

Teacher: Today all of you have a good chance to improve your English during the game. I have invited a competent jury to count the points. Now I’m going to teach you how to play this game. The game has 7 contests, they are:

1. English-speaking countries.

2. English folklore Proverbs.

3. Grammar station.

4. Fantastic reading.

5. The right choice.

6. Essay

Well, I wish you success. Be active, honest and helpful!

Teacher: And now we come to the 1^st contest of the game called

“English-speaking countries”.

So name English-speaking countries you know. You have 1 minute at your disposal. Each team can get 5 points.

2.

Teacher: And now we come to the 2^nd contest which is called “English folklore Proverbs”. I’ll give you English proverbs. Read them and give Kazakh and Russian equivalents. You can get 5 points for the right answer.

Teacher: The 3^rd contest is called “Grammar station”. Your task is to make right answer. You can get 1 point for each right answer.

Дети из каждой команды вытягивают один билетик со скороговорками из набора, затем выбирают, кто из команды читает скороговорку. Дается 1 минута на подготовку, и дети читают. Жюри оценивает правильность произношения всех слов и скорость чтения. Максимум – 5 баллов.
