Main Activities 25 min |
There are many places in the town where we can spend our free time. Today we will learn about those places. But before we come to that let us first start with the revision of the previous theme. Last time we were talking about sopping centres. Let’s check your knowledge in a form of “an interview”. One student is a journalist and another student answers the questions. Vocabulary:
Listening: Learners will listen to a conversation between Lucy and Jared. Then will complete the dialogue Descriptor. Learners should -complete the dialogue with correct form of there is/ there are -translate in into Kazakh language Reading: Learners read a text from their pupil’s book. Then they answer the questions to check their understanding. Grammar: “Prepositions of place” Teacher explains the prepositions of place with the help of a box and a ball.
In [ in ] On [ ɒn ] Under [ ˈʌndə ] Next to [ nekst tu:] Behind [ bɪˈhaɪnd ] In front of [ in frɒnt əv ] Between [ bɪˈtwiːn ] Writing Learners will be shown a picture of a room. Their task is to describe the picture and write at least four sentences e.g. “In this picture the bag is next to the bed”

Learners will be given the translation of the words, they will write down the new words on their dictionaries.. |

Feedback (I) Learners complete an evaluation sheet of what they did during the lesson writing a number in each statement or circling one word: What time is it? What activities are popular? Evaluation sheet is given to all learners to fill in and all sheets should be collected for teacher’s reflection and further work on shortages.
