PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS — A TESTA

MENT TO KAZNU’S ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

In the 2024–2025 academic year, 112 students from Al-Farabi Kazakh National

University were awarded the prestigious Presidential Scholarship. This achievement

reflects the university’s high academic standards. The recipients are distinguished by

their excellence in science and education, as well as their active civic engagement

The Presidential Scholarship is one of the most esteemed awards granted by the

Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan to support talented youth. In addition to

GPA, candidates are evaluated based on research activities, participation in interna

tional conferences, and involvement in social projects.

KazNU has established a systematic approach to preparing scholarship candi

dates. The Academic Council identifies gifted students and connects them with re

search mentors. Opportunities for participation in scientific clubs, startup projects, and

international competitions have been significantly expanded.

The Preparatory Department has contributed to this success by offering special

ized courses in academic discipline, research literacy, and scholarly skills for prospec

tive students. These efforts lay the foundation for future scholarship recipients. The

department also identifies talented students early and guides them toward KazNU’s

top faculties.

Scholarship recipients actively participate in the university’s research and in

novation projects. They work in startup incubators and publish articles in international

scientific journals. This engagement is a key factor in strengthening KazNU’s reputa

tion as a leading research university.
