MAIN PART Teacher demonstrates and drills basic prepositions of place: in, on, under, using visuals at board. IN, ON, UNDER Car is in the box Car is on the box. Car is under the table. Task 1. Teacher gives students worksheet to complete. Task 2 Learners should given information gap picture activity. Learners should match prepositions on their picture according to the information they are given. The pupils take two minutes to look at the words and objects on the page. Then the children turn the page over and see how many them can recall their classmates.

Task 1. Teacher demonstrates and drills There is/ there are and prepositions of place: in, on, under, next to, in front of, behind. Then teacher gives to the pupils the cards with pictures of different classroom objects. The teacher says to the pupils instructions and they should show the correct cards where she says. For example: There is a book on the desk. And pupils put the picture on the desk in the middle of the room. a) There is a pen on the desk. b) There are 2 pens next to the book. c) There is a pen on the desk. d)There is a pen in front of the book. e) There are 2 pens under the desk f) There is a rubber in the pencil case.
