3.4.8.1- include appropriate use of a full stop during guided writing of short, familiar sentences

Design a poster of their dream house and describe it in written form (write a story of 5-7 grammatically correct sentences)

Most learners will be able to:

Write a story of 7-10 grammatically correct sentences, describing their dream house

Some learners will be able to:

Write a story of 10-12 grammatically correct sentences, describing their dream house

Warm Up:

Greet students and let them take their places. Ask some lesson-opening questions.

i.e. What date is it today? What day is it today? What is the topic of the lesson? Etc.

Write the objective(s) on the board. Draw students’ attention to the lesson objective(s), make sure they all understand them (ask simple comprehension checking questions if necessary)

Task 1

Tell me about the play Little Red Hen

Show performance Little Red Hen


One day the hen finds the seeds. and asks the cat, dog and duck. Who can help me plant a seed. The cat, dog and duck refuse. then the hen planted the seed herself. When she grew up, she asked them who would like to help me with the harvest, but again they all refused. The hen again asked if anyone wanted to steam to the farm to turn the wheat into flour, but again everyone refused. The chicken went on its own. Then when she received the bread from the flour she again asked them who would like the bread. everyone agreed, but the hen refused them
