Then teacher explains quadratic trinomials, teaches to factorize some quadratic trinomials.

1)Factoring Trinomials of the Form:

We can follow a procedure to factorize a

reducible quadratic trinomial

inti two binomials;

1. Write x as the first term of each binomial

2. Find two factors of c whose sum is b.

2)Factoring Trinomials of the Form:

If the leading coefficient of a quadratic trinomial is not 1, we can use a different procedure to find the two binomial factors.

Activity: Use the diagram shown below.
