The theme of the lesson: A REALLY BUSY DAY

The aim of the lesson: to enrich pupils’ knowledge about school subjects. To develop pupils’ skills in oral speech and reading. To develop monologue and dialogue speech. To consolidate new words and structures.To bring up pupils’ interest to the language.

Visual aids: pictures, cards, a computer, diagrams and a diary, a clock.

The type of the lesson: group work, pair and individual works, question – answers

Procedure of the lesson.

І. Organization moment. Greeting, short conversation with pupils on duty.

a) Greetings: Teacher: Students, get ready for the lesson, stand still and straight. Good morning, students. I’m glad to see you. Sit down, please. Now I see you are ready to start the lesson.
b) The duty` s report
: Who is on duty today? Who is absent today? What day is it today? What month is it now? What date is it today?
The motto of today’s lesson is “Tick - tock, tick - tock”,
Says the clock.
“Tock - tick, tock - tick”,
Be quick!”

II. Phonetic drill. Come into the classroom, And say your name. Hand in your homework. Don’t play a game! III. Warm – up. Match the words with the pictures. Basketball – 8 Maths – 4 Science –3 chess club – 5 PE – 7 Geography – 1 Art – 6 meeting – 2 IV. Vocabulary work. Listen and repeat. Basketball – баскетбол Maths – математика Science – ғылым chess club – шахмат үйірмесі РЕ – дене тәрбиесі Geography – география Art – сурет meeting – жиналыс o’clock – тура сағат quarter – 15 минут half past – жарты/жарым past – кетті to – қалды clock – сағат timetable – сабақ кестесі Information – информатика Technology – технология (еңбекке баулу)

V. Presentation. Grammar. Draw a clock face on the board and change positions of the clock hands toexplain the following words: o’clock, quarter, half past, past, to and drill their pronunciation.

Listen and read the text, then write Rosie’s activities in the correct order.

Group or pair work. Ask and answer questions about Rosie’s timetable. - What time’s Geography on Wednesday? - It’s at quarter past one. Etc.

Listen to the riddle and guess what it is.
I am a big and I am small
I have no legs but I can go
I go at night and all the day
But I can never go away
I have one face and two small hands
To show you all my numbers.
And I say ‘Tick’ and I say ‘Tock’
Guess what am I? (It’s a clock.)

Let’s revise school subjects and sing a song “I like”. Look at the screen, listen to me, then read all together. Song “I like”:

When you sing this song you should show some action.
I like science (when you sing “I like science” you should think about smith like this).
I like history (show that you read a
BOOK).
I like music (play on the guitar).
I like maths (let’s count from one to three)
I like PE (run ).
I like English (write the letter C).
I like art (draw a line).
I like them all (show a house).
VII. Consolidation of the lesson. Draw clocks showing these times. 1. It’s ten to two. 2. It’s quarter past six. 3. It’s five past nine. 4. It’s twenty to three. 5. It’s half past twelve.

And now I’ll describe some lessons and you are to name them. Be attentive!
1. At this lesson you read English texts, speak, ask and answer questions, play games. (English)
2. At this lesson you draw and paint. You have papers and pencils, a brush and an eraser. (Art)
3. At this lesson you write in your exercise -
BOOK and count. (Maths)
4. At this lesson you read, write, do exercises, ask and answer questions. You speak Russian. (Russian)
5. At this lesson you don’t read and write. You run, jump in the Gym. (P. E.)

VIII. Homework. Giving marks. The lesson is over.

That is all for today. You may collect your things. Now it is time to recite the poem.
