Teacher greets learners and asks them:

Teacher sets positive atmosphere by asking some ice breaking questions.

Please open the page 91. Look at the photo. How do you think what kind of sport is it? Maybe some of you know the man in the photo?!

Mohammed Aman is an Ethiopian middle distance runner. He is the winner of the 2013 World Athletics Championships in the Luzhniki stadium in Moscow.

Teacher asks students to read the biography.

Teacher checks students’ understanding by asking some questions.

Teacher asks students to write the information in the order it appears in the biography.

Teacher asks students to look through the text and find out what happened at the given points in Mohammed’s life.

Key:

2008- he won his first International race in Nigeria.

The age of 19- he won the gold medal at the 2013 World Championship in Moscow.

2011-he won a silver medal at the World Youth Championship in France.

August 9, 2012- he came sixth at the 2012 Olympics in London.

Teacher explains about prepositions of time and place- on, in, at.

Preposition on is used with dates: on April 20^th, on May 25^th;

In is used with moths and years: in 2009, in 1991;

Also we use in with towns, cities and countries: in Oskemen, in Almaty, in London, in New-York;

At is used with ages and sport events: at the age of 11, at the World Championship.

Then teacher asks students to complete the given sentences with the correct prepositions.
