The aims of the lesson:

  1. Educational: to activate the lexic on the theme ;to give some information about moon, to revise the words of the unit, to introduce with new vocabulary, to revise Future Simple Tense.

  2. Development: to develop speaking, listening and writing skills

  3. Brining-up: to promote interpersonal relationship of pupils.

Needs of materials: book, blackboard, additional material – posters, pictures, computer, flash-cards, song, individual cards

I. Organization moment

Good afternoon pupils! How are you felling this days? Who is on duty today? Who is absent? What date is it today? What day of the week is it today?

Today we are going to speak about the things which will happen with us in the future, about the Future tense. We are going to listen to the Song about living on the moon. I think it will be very interesting. Now, let’s start.

II. Warm up activity.

And now look at the blackboard and try to remember how we use these tenses and these verbs? (флипчарт 1 по грамматике на различие глаголов, относящихся к нужному времени )

Present Simple - goes

Present Continuous – is going

Past Simple – went

Future Simple – will go

Your task is to find the verbs in the past simple and future simple (флипчарт 2)

Divide the words into two boxes (флипчарт 3)

Checking of the homework. Now let’s check your homework. What was your hometask? You worked on the card at home.

New lexical material. You remembered the rules of using tense. And now let’s write the new words about the living on the moon: Open your copybooks, write down the date and the theme of our lesson and write the new words.

Environmental problems is the most burning problem of today.

The ecological problem influence the climate on the Earth. Mankind long believed that , whatever we did, the Earth would remind much the same. Nature is under threat. Our country’s pollution can be every country’s problem. So we all need to work together to safeguard our environment.

Air pollution is a very serious problem. Industrial enterprises emit tons of harmful substances . They are the main reason for the greenhouse effect and acid rains. The pollution of air and the world’s ocean, destruction of the ozone layer is the result of man’s careless interaction- with nature a sign of the ecological crises.

Rains, full of acid chemicals, change lakes, rivers, as well as forests. Acid water kills the plants and animals that usually live in water. Acid rain makes the Earth more acidic and some kinds of trees can’t live in the sol that is very acidic. Forests are disappearing and this upsets the oxygen balance.

Water pollution occurs mostly , when people overload the water environment such as streams, lakes, underground water, bays or seas with wastes or substances harmful to living being.

Nuclear weapons is also course of the pollution. It brings a great damage to the agriculture, forests and people’s health.

The greenhouse effect and global warming both correspond with each other. The greenhouse effect is recalled as incoming solar radiation that passes through the Earth’s atmosphere but prevents much of the outgoing infrared radiation from escaping into outer space. It causes the overheat of the air as a result we have the global warming effect.

People are beginning to realize that environmental problems are not somebody else’s. In many countries environmental protection agencies and research centers are up. Such organization as “Green Peace” cares for ecology in countries. Its main goal is to combine the people’s efforts for peace with the huge and ever mounting movement launches all kind of environmental actions and inform of the ways, means and results of this work.

The ecological program:
- So, as you see, ecology is one of the global problems nowadays. What should you do? Make up your ecological program.
Air -- People must care about forest.
Factories and plants must not throw gas and smoke into the atmosphere.
Water -- Factories and plants must not throw chemical and toxic wastes into the river and sea.
People not throw rubbish and trash into the rivers and lakes.
Ground --- People must not throw trash and rubbish in the street and in the forest. They must recycle it.
Wildlife – People must car about animals and plants and they should not kill animals for the fur. People must not cut down so many trees.

3 How does ecological catastrophe affect the population in the Aral Sea area?

5 Do you believe that the Aral Sea will be saved?

Homework

Answer the questions and write essay about the global ecological problems.

Teacher greets with the pupils. The teacher and the pupils make conclusion on the theme. Every pupil say one sentence about the ecological problems and its decisions.
