Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin is one of the greatest Russian poets
of all times. He was a famous writer of Romantic era. Pushkin was
born in 1799 in Moscow but spent most of his youth in the village
near St Petersburg, in Tsarskoye Selo. His family lived in Moscow
and was of upper-class, his parents spoke French, but his granny
taught him to speak Russian. A young Alexander spent his childhood
with his nurse Arina Rodionovna, who told him fairy
