THE METHODOLOGICAL SYSTEM
OF USING PROJECT METHOD IN THE PROCESS OF TEACHING ENGLISH
LANGUAGE

Summary
In the given article the
author analyzes the peculiarity and effectiveness of using Project
method in the process of teaching English
language.
The
project method not only provides a productive acquisition of
teaching materials, but also improves the learners personalities as
moral, ethical, independent working, generous correct approach
towards each other, language communication skills, helping each
other and other good qualities. Here, the negative qualities such
as competition, envy, pride, tough, authoritarian are not
associated with the project technology, which are mostly formed
through the traditional pedagogy.
Project method is the method
of achieving didactical objectives of any designed, precise problem
which should be ended with a significant practical result. It can
be realized by analyzing the problem completely. The base of the
project method consists of the concept of project, its pragmatic
direction towards the result obtained by solving the problem with
any practical or theoretical value.
The actuality
of
the problem.
The
current development phase
of
society, and various
changes occurring in our
country requires a fresh look at the
educational system and reorganization of the teacher`s
activity.
The
twenty-first century is the century of
advanced technology. Therefore, the
effective use of new technologies in the educational system
is a clear demand of
the
presence. It is needed to move
from the traditional method of
education to the new active method
of the educational process which
increasesthe interest of the
studentin
the subject. It can be realized only by
using new technologies in the
educational process.
Nowadays, paying
the special
emphasis
on the issue of updating the content of education in our
country, inputting
the best
teaching methods and new technology, andimproving the quality of
education arebecoming
the main
goals, because the educational
institutions should be able to
train comprehensive
well-educated, cultured members of modern
society who can creatively reorganize
their actions in everchanging
situations.
The use of
new pedagogical
technologies in the process of
teaching English language
gives an
opportunity to activate the
educational cognitive activity of the student
while possessing new language
material, and increase
the student`s
interest
in the subject.
The main purpose of teaching
English language is to improve
communication skills of the
students and develop their
relationships. In this regard,
the English language teacher should use theinteresting
and time-saving
methodswith the purposes like
formingthe skills
which meet the requirements of the
program andincreasing
the
interest of students in the
subject.
One of the most effective
methods of teaching English language is a
project method. Because the
project is directed to
the real and
practical result. It was identified that
the problem of using new technologies in the teaching process while
analyzing the scientific
literature is considered in different
fields according to the investigations of foreign and native
scientists.
Consequently, the case of lacking the studies of
the issue of
the
theoretical bases and scientific methodologies of
usingthe
project
method in teaching English
language, as well as the unidentified
pedagogical conditions of using the project method in teaching
English language requires providing the specific research
works.
Tasks
of the research:
1. To establish the use of
project method
in teaching English
from
the theoretical and practical
point of view.
2. To identify
the
current status and opportunities of
usingthe
project method
in teaching
English.
3. Topresent the opportunities
of using the
project method
in teaching
English.
4. To present proposals by
experiencing the effectiveness of using the project method while
providing practical experimental works.
Scientific hypothesis of
the research:
if the
project method is used effectively in teaching English, then it
gives opportunities to students to increase their cognitive
activity, improve creative skills, develop their knowledge and
cultural backgrounds by creating an artificial community of a
foreign language, generate
a
stable interest in
learning process,
and
improvecommunication abilities
and the quality of
education.
The
methods
of the
research:theoretical analysis of the
psychological, pedagogical and methodological literature;
investigation of the experience of schools
and institutions of higher education, providing
results; analysis
of
the educational documents
(academic plan for foreign language teacher
training, curriculum, teaching aids); pedagogic
supervision; providing
practical experimental work in
accordance with the objectives of the educational
process, editing and concluding by
the analysis of the
results.
The main
idea
of the research. Creating an artificial
language environment
through the project method in
the teaching process of English language increases
the ability of students
to learn a new language and creates a
stable
interest in the teaching process.
The basic
concepts.
1. The theoretical establishment
of using the project
method increases students`
need of
learning English language andhelps to enlarge their
communication skills.
2. The methodological base of
using the project method in teaching English language gives an
opportunity to increase the cognitive abilities and the interest of
the learners, and generates their interest in the subject
by creating an artificial language
environment.
3.
The results of practical and
experimental works and the recommendations which
prove the effectiveness
of using the project method gives an opportunity
to
improve the English language.
